It doesn't look very workable. Too tall for kittens, and it would tend to pile all the waste in one area where the cat squats with his/her head sticking out. I would also wonder how comfortable it would be for very large cats as well; the model is about shoulder-high in the thing, and large cats might feel crowded.

No. I actually read reviews about this litter box before I bought my current box. It's convient for US cuz we don't have to clean the litter tracking, but if you were a cat, would you like to go inside a HOLE to do your business and then jump back up? Plus older cats cannot use this because .. well you know why.. so you're better off with a normal litter box.

Cats love boxes of any kind to play in, so if their litter box has a top entry, they should like it. It would be hard for smaller kittens that are being trained though unless you have some sort of ramp for them to get to the top.

Hmmm, that's hard to say. One of my cats probably would -- he likes to climb into boxes and bags but the other wouldn't. Are you trying to decide whether to get this for your kitty. I would say get a big box and see how your cat reacts to it. If he climbs in and likes it, he might be willing to go for the new litter pan. On the other hand, if he snubs the box, then it's not likely that he will use this kind of litter pan.

Well....if it did work then it would really cut down on the mess the cats make when they jump out because the top would remove the little litter stuck in their pads......but i dont know if you could really train a cat to use that box...

one of my cats might go for it...but I think she might play in there as she likes to play in boxes. Just recently got a covered litter pan and she slept in there for the first couple days! My other cat is not really very flexible...she even has trouble squirming around in my covered litter pan...think she might get stuck in there and never be able to get out...or would be too afraid to go in, in the first place.

while Ive heard that top entry litter boxes are great thisone in particular seems to me to be too small & doesnt look like it would give the cat much comfort or room to move so I guess my vote on this box woul dbe "no"

honestly i think its great! if my 5 cats would use..of course that would mean i would have to buy about 3 of them. and at that price HA no thanks..they look easy as hell to make though just go buy a plastic bin with a covor, cut a hole in the cover and pop a plastic bag and litter in it and presto! hmm i think i just might! ill tell ya if they like it...in fact i have a few bins in my shed..looks like a project for me tonight..lol however it seems nice..for humans anyway i mean no tracking of litter and less odor..although i already buy non tracking litter.. thanks for the idea!

I think it is a great idea! Maybe it should be a little bigger tho. Would keep the litter off the floor.
