I just realized that after i copied my pictures to a cd that there was no date when that picture was taken on, only the date it was modified (I deleted those pictures from my computer already)...Is there a way to find the date ?please HELP:(

Go to... right click on the pic, properties, summary and if you have windows xp then click advanced. There should be someting like Date Picture Taken in the list. Good luck! :]

If you did not delete EXIF information embeded in the picture, you can view it with Ifranview software ( www.irfanview.com/) by going to Image -> information.

I always rename my picture files to the date they were created, ex: 060803_001.jpg, 060803_002.jpg. just some suggestion.

In the folder where it resides do View/Details then View/Choose Details and see if "date picture taken" is available and if so, select it.

Hi, just try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

The date of the photo is an integral part of the .jpg file.
This part of the file is called the 'EXIF" data and you should be able to access it from any decent photo software. Please let us know which photo software you are comfortable using. Don't worry -- you'll be able to get the info.

try clicking on the picutre, with the right mouse button , and going to properties, sometimes it will come up saying when it was created
