Contact his commander. That will fix it very well. OK? Are you married. You need his Name, Rank, Address, and if so his Social Security Number.

The military does not look kindly on this situation AT ALL. Call the JAG or the Commander's office where he is stationed; they will take it out of his pay before he gets any, and they could even boot him out if he p*sses them off.
One other thing I may suggest tho, if he has nothing to do with the child at all, then have him sign off all rights (that way he can be adopted by someone you may marry) - get the support from the State (the State will deal with him, so you don't have to).
So: First call his commanding office - file with your local court.
And, believe it or not, (maybe later you can - it's probably really hard for you right now), your child is better off without a father who has nothing to do with him, than a loving mother and his grandparents and friends who will ALWAYS love him, no matter what.
Best wishes - hang in there.

You might have to wait until he gets of the boat. I think it depends on what state you live in, but he should have to pay back support from the date you filed for child support. Call you local child support office again and ask if there is anything they can help you do to speed up the process. He gets paid from there, and maybe they could just have it taken out of his checks?

Had a similier problem. I was told that once you make the judgement( going to the court and filing), you will eventually get your due money. However, it will NOT come now. What happens is they get ajudgement against him, and he will be requested to pay a certain amount of money. If he does NOT do aws told -orpretend to be GONE(hes still liable.), they will keep adding the amounts on from the day you filed. That may not be today, next month, of even within the next 3 years. But you'll get it. It sucks, but thats the way it goes. You'll get yours and he will be VERY sorry. The son of abi)(*()*)*)_ Be patient, and keep on working its hard but it pays off.

The first thing you should do is contact your County or State Child Support Collections agency. They can give you a better idea of what your options are. You might have to wait till he does get a leave of absance or they might make him return as soon as they can for a court date. If you do have to wait, as long as you file now... they will have to back date the support to the day you filed it.

Contact your local child support aganecy and make them persue it for you. Did you guys get married or divorced? You can have it garnished, they frown upon people in the Navy not supporting their own and taking responsibility. See if you can get it garnished out of his wages through the child support agency. Are you on government aide, sometimes they make you open a child support case. Call the news station it can't hurt.

WOW thats a tough question and i don't really have very much experience with child support, but my mom and my dad do cuz they're divorced and i have 4 other siblings and i know that my mom has spent many many sleepless nights over child support! but i think you should really just pray about it and see how god can provide but just keep in mind, you should at least try to meet him half way, if you want him to do any thing for you you should do something good for him.

From what I was told the military makes sure that they pay their support. I can see why the court will grant him an extension because he is out right now but I was told that once the order is placed you will not have to worry about him actually paying it. They make sure he does.

Unfortunately he is "military property". The military under pays the solders to begin with. Treat you and the family like crap. Wounded solders and vets barely get any medical benefits.
Anything involving the government is a real pain.

Try contact the Navy, the armed forces don't like to look bad and when the recruits don't play nice, sometimes they will go after them. Good Luck, one mom to another.
