what is the issue with dating someone younger? who cares right or wrong?

I think that any two consenting adults can date. No problem with that. But to say that age is just a number is a bit off. We're not counting pennies here. We're counting years. These numbers have serious weight behind them. Not weight that works against a couple with an age difference being together though.

im in a relationship now where im much younger (but not illigally). it all depends on the chemistry and love you have between each other. and like someone said, as long as the younger person is mature enough to keep up with the older one, then it shouldnt matter at all. but i wouldnt say age isn't nothing but a number. it is more than just a number. but if you're okay with the age difference, then it shouldn't matter.

everyone says age doesn't matter until it happens. I know from personal experience. I feel in love with some one younger than me that I have known for many years and it ruined my life telling her how I felt. it destroyed two families saying the three worst words on this planet "I Love You" and she is over the age of 18. I never asked her out or anything like that. So when people says age doesn't matter it does. Your just fooling your self. If you think it doesn't matter then date some one alot older than you and see.

That would depend on how old the two are. (Were you thinking I'd say how much younger? Heh.) If one is fourty and one is thirteen, I don't want to hear about it.

It all really depends on how mature the younger person is, if the older person respects the younger's (probably) lack of experience... If one of them is mentally under 20, they probably shouldn't be together until the person grows up a bit because it will likely end up being an emotional disaster.

But that's just my opinion.

I use to say that too...Well I think love doesn't have a age....but if you want to have a long relationship....age does matter...experience...if your younger than 18 and are going w/ someone older than 18 it does matter....unfortunelty it does...in the beggining it may not but in the end it will....trust me...and someone younger it's the same thing...

i agree with olivia, as long as you're both adults, no one cares, but if one person is 14 and one is 24, that is a problem
