Every time I go to check my email, I'm bombarded with credit score offered. I understand it's what some people are asking about or it's advertisement,however, it's gotten very annoying.

There is a one year opt out for commercial email junk.

Putting a fraud alert on your credit information will bring most of that to a standstill. In order for someone to access your credit history, they will have to your signature authorizing it.

Simply contact the credit companies like Experian. There may be an annual enrollment fee for monthly monitoring, but you have made it much harder for your information to be stolen. And you have reduced the amount of unsolicited contact from credit companies...

Call 1-888-5-OPTOUT

It will stop all preapproved credit offers and should stop the free credit report offers (that aren't really free).

However, you are still entitled to one free report per year from each bureau and you should take advantage of that....but it is not the same as the 'free trial' free credit report services.

Once you get on their lists, you are stuck there. Start a new email box and don't give out the address or sign up for junk.
