It usually costs about $30 for the vet visit, $15 to diagnose worms, and about $15 or so for the treatment. This can vary from area to area. Best thing is to call around and find the cheapest vet. However, if you are sure they are intestinal worms, you can buy the treatment at any pet store for under $10. If you are talking about heartworms, though, then you will have to see a vet.

yep drontal tablet is the best (it is a full wormer that covers all but heartworms) but the price depends on how much the dog weighs...my little shih tzu is 4 dollars but my 135 pound rottweiler is around 50 bucks...office visits vary from 15 to 45 dollars so i would just call the vet and tell them around how much the dog weighs and that you need a the drontal wormer and see if you can just go in and pick up the pill...thats what i do cause it saves money and then stick the pill in a ball of raw hambuger or buttered bread and its that easy...its the mess afterwards thats the problem if you know what i mean...lol

Call around to local vets and or your local Humane Society, they usually have "FREE CLINIC DAYS" that give shots and do worming. Or usually an office visit can cost ut to $45.00 plus meds the meds, unfortunately it's expensive sometimes. See if they will let you make payments, a lot of vets do! All you have to do is ask. You also can get most pet medication from your local Pharmacy or Wal-Mart, Target, etc..... for less!

The average cost for an examination in the Mid-western US is $ 40.00. The dewormer will cost $ 10.00 and up depending on the size of the dog, the species or parasite, the type of dewormer and how many times you need to repeat the dosing, and whether or not you need ectoparasite control to prevent further infestation.

what kind of worms? Heatworm? Intestinal parasites?
Heartworm does require a blood test if the dog hasn't been on heartworm pill before.
Cost: varies by area and vet. Why not just call your vet and ask their exam fee?

it depends on the type of worms. my cat's vet gave her a shot for tape worms and didnt even charge me for it. i just went in during one of her check ups and mentioned that she had them. not if youre talking about heart worms, that can get costly and requires several days staying with the doc. call around and ask different vets in your area what they charge. p.s. my cat's vet only charges $25 for an office visit and that includes the shots!

it varries greatly from state to state and town to town, my beloved vet back in rural indiana would likely do it for 25 bucks, big city vets and all that, at least twice that i would assume, however you can buy worming medicine from places like petsmart and petco, that may help a good deal. however read the instructions well.
