All I hear is "It's too early to drink a Coke". Then I don't get an answer if I ask about this supposed "window of drinking" opportunity as far as the noble Coke is concerned. The closest I've come to an answer is that it will bother my stomach, but what about coffee drinkers? If coffee made all people sick as it does me, Starbucks would go out of business

In the mornings, your stomach has a lot of gastric juices rearing like a race car to masticate your food. Try this experiment: take a coke and add a Tylenol or aspirin and after it dissolves soak a piece of an old tee shirt in it. If the stomach acids do not get a chance to do their work on food, they will attack the lining of your stomach wall just the same way the mixture attacked the cloth. Extreme cases result in stomachs ulcers. You have a gift of choice. However be reminded that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If you break the operating rules of the vehicle called body, it will break down. If you can afford the mechanics, "doctors"--no problem.

Some people think that coke is evil because of the phosphoric acid in coke. It's a very acidic substance, a T-bone steak will be stripped to the bone in 4 days if submerged. I don't remember the source where I read it, so go ahead and take it with a grain of salt as I do with most "facts."

Coke? Is it any worse than coffee? Now, if it was cocaine... I'd see their point of view. But that would really get you moving in the morning though lol

Drinking sugary, carbonated beverages first thing in the morning sets you up for a lot of problems later in the day, but also later in life. The excess sugar will give you an initial sugar buzz and tricks your body into thinking that it doesnt need anymore energy, when in reality, it does. It needs normal carbohydrates (from breads, cereals, milk and fruits) to function best. The abnormally high amount of sugar in Coke fools you into thinking that you are alert, fresh and energized, when in reality you are not. Later in the day, you will be more hungry and will tend to eat more heavy foods which is already bad for you. It will also slow your metabolism, preventing you from being energetic through the rest of the day. If you keep that habit up, later in life you will find it harder to live a healthy lifestyle.

The caffeine concentration in Coke is negligible- what matters is the sugar. In coffee, however, its the caffeine which keeps people alert (don't confuse that with energized- their bodies do not have more energy, their brains are just more alers, that's all). This is why people drink coffee in the morning- to wake their brains up, not energize their bodies. Hope that helps.

I ALWAYS used to have a COKE in the morning. There is nothing wrong with that if you burn off the energy. But most people don't. After the age of 25, those 10 teaspoons of sugar, start catching up to you and you get very fat quick. I don't drink Coke anymore for that reason, but I sure miss that morning kick.

because coke has acids that is not good for the stomach especially in the morning wherein our stomach is empty. i think that is one factor why people get ulcers. the coke's acid content will react in the acid that is left in our stomach everymorning, after our stomach digest the food ate last night.
