the battles generally ranged in the tens of thousands of men. In the siege of Malta, the Turks amassed 30,000 men against around 10,000. you can read lots of detailed info on wikipedia.

They were ginormous .
I don't know how many men.
I didn't think to count them.
They were to busy fighting.

depends....sometimes as few as dozens, or hundreds, and somethimes in the thousands look it up google it or something
