Did the cat ever make a sound or is this new? If it's new , you should have it checked at a clinic. Remember the weekend is approaching and emergency visits are a LOT more expensive!
If it's always been that way , it just may be mute. Is it by any chance solid white or blue eyed or a purebreed? Many of these cats are often deaf or mute.

Get him to the vet tomorrow, because it is a Friday and you don't want him to go all weekend like that. I had mine at the vet for the same thing, and it turned out to be a bacterial infection. One shot of antibiotics and a script, and she was back to good within hours already! Otherwise, if it is something lodged in the throat, he needs a doc to help him. You don't want him to choke further and die (i hope!). Cats don't lose their voices like that for no reason.

Well i don't know about your cat but might be like the same thing my moms dog went through. He had a enlarged "pallet" in his throat and had to have it removed. When he got hot he couldn't breath and would choke. Might think about checking that out. Just a thought might be wrong who knows.

Don't take any chances...get your cat to the vet. Remember, a cat can't tell you what's wrong with it. And if you you think that something is not right, you're probably right. Let us know what it turns out to be and I hope your kitty is okay.
God bless you and your kitty.

don't wait!!! I know that it can be expensive, but when you take on the responsibility of being a pet owner your have to treat them (medically) like they were one of your children. I hope everything is OK!!!!!!
