automatic is optional, manual transmission is standard

yes and no. the manual transmission was available but ford did not have enough to put into the cars. therefore the 2005 mustang gt convertible was hardly ever built with one. Gt's in general where in limited production.

Every car comes in a manual transmission. It's actually the standard, not automatic
