Me and my ex broke up about a month ago because she felt smuthered by me being around. We talk all the time and we still love each other and she has told me many times that she is not looking for anyone else to be with, only with me. So i have given her space, we still hang out and spend some quality time together alone. But I want her to be my girl freind agian not a friend with benifits. I have learned from my mistake and I know I will not smuther her again. She says that she will get back together with me but when should I confront her about this b/c i cant wait any longer.

How long did you guys date for previously? And I wish me ex wanted me back so we could solve of prob. To him I am a friend with benefits.

Well, I think you should be appeased with her words that she would get back together with you and with those words, I believe, that you still should give her time to think about it. She might feel being pressured if you'd ask her to do it now because I'm sure that if she is ready to do it, she will not hold it for long. To ask her now may give you a negative response which may disappoint you.
What you should do to facilitate her weighing of things over is to really show her how important she is to your life through actions and to be extra caring and loving when you are together.
And whatever made you separate such as the smothering factor you claimed you did by your being around her should be made clear to her that it would not happen again if ever you get back to each other.
Besides, it's not really good to smother your love partner because that feeling of being suffocated or deprived of freedom to do what one wants to do just because you are her partner (if really this was what happened) is really disappointing. Love lasts when trust is present and it will forever thrive in the hearts of the persons in love if freedom is not curtailed during the relationship. Let your partner do what she wants to do for as long as it is not detrimental to your relationship and vice versa.
If that is the only thing that she didn't like in you, with your assurance that it would not happen again between the two of you, perhaps that would be her signal to go back to your arms soon.
Remember, if you are destined to be with each other, Destiny will work towards that way to your hearts' delight. Good luck.
