I believe 100% of the world's population is born heterosexual. We do not consiously choose what we are tempted by. However, we do consiously choose to give in to the temptation.
A former practicing homosexual, delivered by my Lord Jesus Christ.

What do you think?

It's perfectly fine to be gay. Its nice to be happy. Happy happy happy! :) (Sorry, I have a thing with taking nice words and changing their connotations. It bothers me when people sing old songs that have the word "gay" in it and people snicker. I just want that word back to it's old connotation. But anywho...)

Now, homosexual on the other hand, no. We do consciously choose to give into the temptation. Of course we don't choose to be tempted. It's not a sin to be tempted. It's only a sin when one gives into the temptation. I totally agree with you.

Your testimony is very encouraging. Sounds like mine. It's great to know I'm not alone in this. Glory be to God! Amen! Jesus saves. Peace out.

I have heard that the homosexual community gets really angry with those that switched back to being heterosexual.

After reading some of the answers on this site, I believe that.

I like the part of your question that says it all. We do not consciously choose what tempts us. However we do consciously choose to give in to the temptation.

It's the multiple partners, whether you're gay or straight that cause the real problems (take it from someone who enjoyed the sixties too much. Did you ever consider that AIDS and STD existed back then, too, and God was just trying to keep people healthy in a time before antibiotics and sanitation?). And as for the argument that animals do it...
...The Ten Commandments and most of those other "laws" that follow are specifically geared to combat the baser survival instincts.

Don't let 'em judge you kid. The Lord is a good friend to have. Keep with Him.

I think I need to know how you lord Jesus Christ delivered you. Do you speak to him? Did he speak back to you? If so, in what language? Did he look anything like the pictures and statues? Has he aged at all? Why did he chose to deliver you when so many suffer far greater pains than being "a former practicing homosexual?" Does he care so little for the rest of humanity?

Is being delivered by your lord Jesus Christ okay? That should be your question...

God mad a man and a woman. He made Adam and Eve He didn't make Adam and Steve. All other animals on the face of the earth knows what sex it is. Only humans go against nature. It is not only a sin against God but it is a sin against nature. How could you been delivered if you were born that way? The Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins and if you believe and trust in that then you would turn from your sins. . Romans 1: 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Romans 1: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Romans 1: 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

I have been out for 17 years and this is who I am. My family supports me 100% and I was in a long-term relationship for many years. Being gay is like having blue eyes. Some people have them and some people don't. I will never change. Being gay is a wonderful thing.

Another thing is that I'm not a Christian (fundamentalists) but a Deist like Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Thomas Paine. Out founding fathers were Deists. We base reason as the basis for understanding God and not emotional traditionalism. Being that I come from a tradition that lacks bigotry, I don't have as many issues with being gay as others who grew up hating themselves because they have suffered religious bigotry.

I believe Gay is ok......if one is talking about me (my name is Gay) or describing delight and joy. Sexual activity with someone of the same sex (or homosexuality) is perversion from the original design for humans and has caused untold misery and death. My own beautiful nephew was seduced at the age of 14 by a 24 year old man. After being drawn into that lifestyle and seeing ten of his "friends" die from AIDS, he became a shell of himself (a hollow-eyed walking skeleton) with full-blown AIDS. He endured years of torture from illness (and medications) before he died at the age of 36. A friend of my daughters suffered the same fate.

Since June 5, 1981, HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, has killed more than 25 million people, infected 40 million others and left a legacy of unspeakable loss, hardship, fear and despair

AIDS could kill 31 million people in India and 18 million in China by 2025, according to projections by U.N. population researchers. By then in Africa, where AIDS likely began and where the virus has wrought the most devastation, researchers said the toll could reach 100 million.

"It is the worst and deadliest epidemic that humankind has ever experienced," Mark Stirling, the director of East and Southern Africa for UNAIDS, said in an interview.

No, Gay (it's not gay at all and we should stop using that word to decribe it) is DEFINITELY NOT OK!

Our obsessive sexual appetites have set the world ablaze and people are in complete denial.

Bless you and bless God that YOU ARE O.K!

Absolutely gay is not okay, yes look at Leviticus! In fact, I think that anyone who practices anything that is forbidden or taboo in the bible is not okay. In fact, I checked out Leviticus 20:13 and the surrounding passages and I hope no men out there have had sex during a woman's period, or else you'll have to die (edit: sorry, you don't have to die, just be exiled). And man, I hope that you guys are all celebrating all of the feasts set out in Leviticus as well. And hey, look what will happen if you don't! " 14 " 'But if you will not listen to me and carry out all these commands, 15 and if you reject my decrees and abhor my laws and fail to carry out all my commands and so violate my covenant, 16 then I will do this to you: I will bring upon you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and drain away your life."

So in sum, yes gay is okay. Working on sunday is okay. Sleeping with your wife/girlfriend when she has her period is okay. But hey if you don't think so because of 2 lines in the old testament, well I hope you're no hypocrite and follow each and every line in the bible to the letter.

I think that a person is born gay, and it's not a choice that they make and its not a sin. There's new scientific evidence that proves a connection between homoseuxality in males and an antibody that develops in the mother as a result of the male child that is concieved. Because of the Y chromosome, a woman's body doesn't fully accept the embryo and therfore this antibody causes brain alteration in the area determining sexual orientation.

If God created us all in His image and He loves us, then shouldn't we all be equal and deserving of one another's love and acceptance as well?

I think you must not have been truely gay. And I believe that not 100% of the worlds population is born straight. And I think that the fact that you 'renounced your homosexuality' due to your religion is pretty sad.

I believe homosexuality is not a sin, nor is it something that must be overcome or tried to cure. Did you know over 450 different species of animal, besides humans, practice homosexuality, some exclusively?
