I want to get as much money as possible right now, do I want to put 1 or 0 on my w2’s?

Then you claim 1. Although I think it is best to claim 0 then claim 1 when you file your taxes.

First, its a W-4. There are a few things that need to be answered first.

How much do you expect to make this year? Is it over $8300? If not, then claim exempt because you will not need any taxes taken out anyway.

Do you have any dependants? If so, add one additional exemption for each dependant.

Do you itemize your deductions? If so, add one exemption for each $2000 in itemized deductions.

These are a few of the things that you need to know when filling out a W-4. If you make over $8300 and the rest doesn't apply to you, then start off by claiming 2.

the less no. of dependents you claim on your w-4,the more taxes you get taken out of your check each pay. this could mean for a nice tax return at the end of the year. do you need the money now or could you wait for the end of the year?

Depends on people in your household. If you are alone, you would put 1. If you have 2 kids and you are married, you would put 4.
