The UK and Japan both have cuboid melons. They are grown in transparent boxes to make them this shape, but does it affect the taste?

The Fashion Food, square fruit! NO, only the shape was changed to make a bigger profit, and the lower income population can't afford it. It's just like all the other high end fashion stuff today. It's nice to look at!

I suspect they don't. But it sure as heck makes for easier packing and shipping. They won't roll off the counter or table when you slice them. The watermelon fruit basket will sit flat without props. And on top of all that they get to charge more for a specialty item.

Hi i wouldn't think so, not unless they added some pesticides to help them grow along. Why should they it's just the shape and size.

I would expect them to be the same.
Why would they taste any different?
Square eggs taste the same as egg-shaped.
