I've read the question and responses. Here are my thoughts. It is normal for a guy to masturbate regardless of the amount or quality of sex. Quite often there is alot of pressure to perform to satisfy your partner, when you masturbate none of that pressure is there. Also sometimes when the urge hits you its just as easy if not easier to take care of it yourself. The only thing you should worry about is if you catch him looking at personals etc, but as far as porn and celebrities go don't worry, most people fantasize about these things, mainly because they will never happen.
A few things you can try: first you can talk to him about this, or just accept it. Second you say you've caught him, well if you are willing, when you catch him doing this go behind him and kiss his neck, rub his chest and then maybe give him a 'hand' it may end up being that he enjoys this alot better. Third try to spice up your love life a bit, experiment masturbate together whatever its all up to your imagination and both of your willingness to try. Maybe you could also try sometime when you are both watching TV cuddling to do things to him and not expect anything in return.
Of course the most important thing for you to do is look out for yourself, ask yourself questions like: is he worth it, am I getting what I need out of the relationship, etc.

Wow, I would have a huge inferiority complex if my boyfriend would rather masturbate to pornography than spend time with me.( I do not condone sex outside of marraige, so that is why I didn't say "than have sex with me") Something is definatley not right with this behavior, I don't care what anyone else says. You need to contemplate whether or not you want to be married to a porn addict, because the likelihood of him stopping is small. I think that there are two issues here: whether or not he should have/look at porn and the inequality in your relationship. 1. He is right, many, many guys watch porn. They need to let off steam once in a while. No biggy. 2. If he is allowed to watch it, then you should be allowed to do the same. Sort something out that you are both happy with or at least let him know that he is being unfair and how it makes you feel.

It is not uncommon that boys masturbate to selebs. It's not abnormal or immoral. He is in the age when anything remotely resembling a female shape can give him an erection.
However, you say "you constantly catch him" at it, and your sex life with him isn't that great. That is alarming.

Why not join him when he masturbates? You don't have to pretend to be bisexual, but tell him it would be exciting if you joined him. You could masturbate each other.
I think it is okay for him to masturbate when he's alone, but if you're catching him often then it might be a problem. Otherwise, masturbation is not abnormal. You'd be surprised how many people do it when they are older.
