And I'm aware there may not be ONE straight forward answer to this.... but here it goes... Does the tumor poisons the body, does it take away the functionality of organs, does it clogs up stuff? Why at some point patients become terminal? Couldn't tumors just be removed and then the person should be OK for a few more months, or until it grows back?

When your normal cells mutate (due to many reasons) and becomes cancerous, it can be either benign or maglinant.
Benign tumor cells just proliferate and grow at a particular site. Thus, removing the benign tumor ensures a 100% recovery rate.

Maglinant tumors dislodge from its site of origin, gets carried away by your blood or lymph to a site distant from its site of origin. This new site can be anywhere (eg: spleen, liver, kidney etc). It then attaches itself in the new site and continues to proliferate and grow. In this way, cancer cells spread.

Cancer (tumor) cells kills because it shuts down the functions of the organs it is found in.
When a person is terminal, it means that cancer cells can be found in the lymph nodes. When cancer cells are in the lymph nodes, it indicates that the cancer has spreaded throughout the body. By then, it is too late to save the person because all parts of the person's body is diseased.

If tumors are detected early enough, it can be removed. But there is no 100% gurantee that the tumor cells have not spread. Therefore, the patient may find that after a few months of surgery to remove the tumors, they are in the later stages of cancer.

cancers work in different ways in different parts of the body, they do grow and infect everything eventually and yes it ruins the ability for the area of the body to function and if not removed in some way then it will spread through the blood and lymph systems infecting other organs as well, yes in some cases the cancer can be cut out and the person will be fine, others it can be cut out but there are lose cells that will float around and infect again, and some are so pervasive that you cant do anything at all by the time the person comes to see a doctor.

My Dad was a smoker and had a cancer on the inside of his cheek. It spread to the outside on his lip. It looked like someone fileted his lip. If this is what cancer is like on the inside, I would say it is a wound that grows instead of healing. Some cancers can be removed and considered cured if caught in an early stage. I know people who are considered cured, and I have a friend with what I call "galloping cancer." As soon as they clear it out in one place, it pops up in another. The answer seems to be get regular checkups as a preventive. Then pray.

If breast cancer or colon cancer is not treated before it gets advanced, it spreads to other organs such as liver, lungs and brain. As it spreads, it disrupts the function of the those organs and eventually causes death. Survival depends on what stage the cancer is found at, the treatments available for that type of cancer, how well the cancer responds to treatment and to a degree, the person's willingness to fight and live.

well it could be from all sorts of things because your white blood cell count is very low you have a higher risk of infection and other illnesses and cancer can also take over your body it can paralyze, blind, deffen, brain damage and all other sorts of things but it also depends on the type of cancer/tumor some one has been diagnosed with

Cancer kills cells sort of by overcrowding and poisoning. Cells make up tissue, tissue makes up organs, organs keep you going, you see how this is a problem.

Kills your helper t cells (cell that obviously helps you) and messes with your DNA to make your body start to shutdown. It's almost like your body eats itself, only it deteriorates. Then again...there are many types of cancer and how it can kill you, but that is the main way.
