No it does not. The bible is just like any other mythology, it was created as a way to guide people into thinking what the people who wrote it wanted their ideal world to be. It was made to explain creation and how things are, and will be when you die. Nothing more, nothing less, just another work of fiction.

No. I am a Christian and I know that not everything in the Bible is exactly as it was intended. People in places of power can alter certain things. Kings have created entirely new forms of religion to suit their fancy, that is how it is. I still believe that the majority of the Bible is as intended. A moral guideline and a history of a belief.

And the fool above who said something about the bibly being mythology is mislead. It is THEOLOGY. Mythology- fanciful stories with no backing whatsoever.

That the Bible is basically pure or has been massivly altered is, in the end, up to the historians.

No, and the claim of the Bible being the most published book may well be in error.

Why? Well, the many differing/competing versions of the Bible could be considered to constitute separate publications, thus the Bible's combined publication rate would be divided up between each of the sub-versions.

Well, the stories of the bible started as oral tradition, got written down in Hebrew, got translated into Greek, then Latin, then English, and all throughout the people in power choose which books to include and exclude. So, if God *does* exist, what are the chances that any of his words got through?
