To "Justice_K": Where the hell did you come up with the idea that Limewire and Yahoo are associated?!?
Are you on drugs? You really have no clue as to what Limewire is, do you?

This response is to "Chris" (and anyone who is tempted):

You were SCAMMED. imusicshare.com is a SCAM! You pay a yearly fee to download music from, guess what, already available FREE networks. AND IT'S STILL ILLEGAL! Below is from an article on "boycott-riaa.com":

The seventh e-mail message led to a telephone interview with a 25-year-old woman from Florida, who owns the subscription services imusicshare.com and mp3run .com. Speaking on condition of anonymity, she provided some perspective on the Web sites.

She said that she worked at an Internet billing company, and conceived of her file-sharing-support sites when she noticed that such sites did well financially. She started iMusicShare three months ago, she said, and gets 20 to 30 new subscribers a day.

That site is not meant to be at all misleading, she said. "It's for people who have no clue what to do on the Web as far as downloading," she continued. "They don't know what to do and how to begin, so they're willing to pay for help."

So the service provides subscribers with links to download free programs like WinMX and iMesh, supplies them with user guides to these programs, and gives 24-hour technical support, which few file-sharing services offer reliably.

Hear is the deal. If you delete It (at least older versions) you will delete the program, but you will be left with some extra folders and files and a program that says limewire installer.(which wont reinstall it.) As far as it being adware, the only thing i see that could be is limewire free advertising for limewire pro. I have lived without limewire for a while now (since i had the same problem) But i never got around to reinstal it. I wouldn't worry about it on a mac but as long as you have at least two spy ware/malware programs( all downloadable form Microsoft or softpedia.com/versiontracker.com) you should be fine. I have 3 spyware programs on my Win Xp computer and none on my mac. also as a side note, I have had nothing but problems running two anti-virus software (which i am assuming you have because you said you use avg and yahoo). In some cases one will look at the other as a virus and make your computer crash and its not the easist thing to fix.

if you are going to use limewire get pro but if not you are still safe to keep the free one with anti-adware/spyware programs. but yahoo antispy should be able to skip what you dont want it to delete.

limewire isnt adware but you should use safely and im not encouraging illegal music downloading................ lol

just use imusicshare.com!!! it's only $18.88 a year for all the tunes you want, this way you won't face prosecution.
