If you find that he is mature enough for you to date, then go for it. My bf is the same age as your guy, and I'm 22. He may be only young, but he acts more mature than most guys I know my age.

"Stella got her groove back" didn't she? I've dated a guy 9 years younger. There were 3 problems with that though: 1) There were things I did for him that he fell head over heals in love with me. 2) He was on drugs. & 3) He didn't believe in Jesus. My philosophy is, 3 strikes you're out, but with him it only took 2. If your young man has none of these issues, then there's nothing wrong with it. You are two consenting adults, make it work. But, if you feel uncomfortable with it, then maybe you should think about it some more before going any further with him. You only live life once & you never know, he may give you more happines than you could ever imagine. If he's not bothered by the difference, then why should you be?

Well, if you are not looking to control him, it might be okay. What is the age of consent in your area? Are you both single? Do you have any kids? Are you related to him?

25f on 17m isn't that big a deal. You'll be a big hit at the prom.

If you are willing to treat him as an equal, there is relationship potential there.

If you are just in for fun and games, and he accepts this, the only drawback is the law. You might want to wait until he attains the age of consent before you consummate your relationship.

PROVIDED, you aren't an authority figure to him, like a stepmother, or a teacher, minister or a parole officer, or anyone seeking to control him.

I think It is ridiculous. Age is not a number, It is maturity, experience in life. The only reason I would say even maybe is because there are some testomonies that say that their husband is far younger than them. I would be curious to know if thoses realtionships have lasted a while and if they were first marriages. I say it is a bad idea.

You go through big changes between 17 and 25. I really don't think he would be on your level. Does he have to 18 for it to be legal? If i were you i would try for someone older and established-probably someone at least 28 or 30.

My husband is 15 years younger. Age is just a number, no big deal if 2 people love each other and are both legal adults.

Lady if you are really into the person. Then go ahaed and date the person, because it would be only you and you only that is in the relationship with him. Granted the advice of your friends and family is good, but if you have a good gut feeling that things would work then take the risk and see what happens.
I myself am dating a lady about four years older than i am and we are still good.

Depends on how old you are. If you are say 26 then I guess it is ok to date a 18 year old, but if you are 21 then the boy at 13 is way too young. You get the idea.....

Well that depends on how old he is; if he is older than 18 yes. Otherwise you are looking to get in trouble. But why not date someone younger

As long as he's legal age, sure go for it. Age is just a number.

There are beautiful love stories, too. One famous Russian balerina was married all her life to a guy who's 7 years younger.
