There are parts in the Old Testament where the author is writing to his mate!
Check out http://www.johnfourteen.com from John 14 in the Bible
Look at "Studies in the Bible" and "Lessons from the Pulpit"
many answers to everyday life can be found there.

no; the song of Solomon is; the bible is a varied collection of books, originally composed over time as instructive law and oral history/myths being written. later, about 100 years after Jesus' death, the books were edited to the whim of public leaders in charge of controlling the masses, including the falsification of historical events, and after the deaths of anyone that could refute the narrations, the gospels began to appear, and so on, until it's been so modified as to not even remotely resemble reality.
those people above my response seem to either have selective reading habits, or just really do not comprehend the repeated references in the bible of a god of wrath and murder, and hate, with very human-like traits as to make it seem a juvenile being. nor do they seem to have any educational value in history...

How can it be? It's boring and the first half if very hateful. And not to mention, it ends very overdramatically with the whole end-of-the-world thing. Seems like a downer.
