Because they have citizenship in Puerto Rico no matter what, they would just lose their Federal citizenship. I'm not entirely sure what programs the Federal government gives them, but they won't lose any of their "state" benefits.

Oddly enough, a citizen can revoke their citizenship "on a whim" anytime they want by following the rules in their passports. Check it out sometime, it's very interesting.

Because Congress has not revoked it, if they did it would be on the news, so they are sure they are citizens, and they will always be until they here other wise.

Why don't you look it up, yourself? Then, you wouldn't have to ask this question.
