Eat one fourth of your muffin, with a huge glass of ice water. Eat the rest of your muffin for breakfast with more water. Do a lighter lunch to make up for the muffin. Eat a salad with fat free dressing. Dinner eat a small chicken breast with lots of veggies, and more water. Remember to drink lots of water, you will feel fuller.

a pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories.
sleeping for 8 hours (if you're 120 lbs) burns 393 calories.
so unless your banana nut muffin is 3893 calories, you will not gain weight.

Yep, you would gain weight. If you want a late night snack that won't get you, then eat some fruit like grapes, apples, or melons.

If you plan on being active, then by all means, go ahead. But if you plan on sitting around I don't think it's such a good idea, because what you just ate is just going to sit and hang out in your stomach and turn into fat.

the time of day that you eat something doesn't impact whether or not you will gain weight. gaining weight is the result of consuming more calories than you use throughout the day.

one muffin won't make you gain weight...unless you also had a double cheese pizza, a dozen wings, a cheesesteak, mozzerella sticks, and a diet soda of course.
