Go there and look up your nearest FBI office by what state you live in. Then talk to them.

Not necessarily an issue for the FBI. If the fire department was contacted to put the fire out, there should be a report. If the origin of the fire appears to be suspicious, then a Fire Marshall, or Fire Investigator is called, and they handle the investigation from that point.

Unless the garage was on Federal property, I don't think the FBI can get involved. States' rights. You would have to contact your local or state law enforcement.

Also, of course the fire department wouldn't do anything about it. Their job is to put out fires. The police are the ones who investigate crimes.

I'm not sure why you think this would fall into the FBI's jurisdiction. If this is a local criminal matter, then you need to talk to your local police department. You don't list any facts that would appear to make this a Federal matter.

As the others say, unless it has anything to do with the federal government, or it involves multiple states, the FBI will do nothing about it. I would try to contact your local police department and ask them... or even ATF..if you believe it was arson. Otherwise... I would just try and contact maybe your fathers insurance and see what they can do about it, in regards to reimbursing him for his losses.

Unless the FBI is involved, contact your local police.
