Do they die in the bag or climb out later. I don't like big spiders in the house but I don't like killing them either. What's the best way to deal with them?

No, I have a house rule that the spiders must keep themselves clean. That way they don't need vacuuming.

I don't vacuum them because I don't KNOW the answer to that question. I think if you put a flea collar or vacuum up flea powder into the bag, they might die -- but spiders are hard, and they are my big fear.

My deal is, if they stay OUT of my house, I leave them alone. If they come in MY house - NO DEAL. They WILL, inevitably, get way too close to me -- or, God forbid, ON me -- if they are in my house and are not promptly dealt with. And BALONEY on the concept that they're more afraid of me than I am of them!! NOT TRUE! =0

After you suck them up into the sweeper, and you don't remove the bag or cup, outside, into the trash. The spider or spiders will crawl back out of the sweeper, and bite you while, you're sleeping!

What a good question - I've always wondered about that myself. Either way, I feel really bad after vacuuming them.

I usually escort them outside in a cup. It's very bad luck to kill a spider in your house.

I usually let them be. especially those little brown stripy wolf spiders, as they stay out of the way and eat ants at night.

Yes...all the time. I don't care if they die in the bag or not. You are creating a problem which is of no significance. They are pests...not pets!
