If your question wasn't worth answering you wouldn't even get a sarcastic answer. Lighten up! If you want to be serious all the time read the Wall Street Journal or watch CNN.
Accept the fact that you will receive sarcasm as an answer sometimes when you asking questions in Yahoo Answers!

Wow. You brits sure speak differently. I understood what you said, but not without much assumption. "Git" and "sarky" huh? Sweet. I have little clue what those mean. I guess a git would be a type of person, smartass possibly. Ummmmm, sarky... well my best guess would be either sarcastic, stupid, or inadequate. Take care.

There are all kind of people in this world. That is why world is so colourful. You do get this kind of answer from the people, who are frustrated, don't have any goal in life then just getting some points in Yahoo.(like this will give them bread and butter)
This kind of people gets kick out of pinching other people. That is a kind of art also, if you look at it positively. That is the beauty of it.

Some sarky comments are funny and make a good point - other's are just pig-ignorant and rude. Not much we can do about it, unfortunately.

sometimes it lightens the questioners mood before you give the real answer, -depending on the question.
other times the question could be sarky or funny in its self.

there can be a fine line between a wittism and a sarcastic comment... maybe they think they're being witty but all you see is a sarky comment?

Because this site is pure humor! It is what gets me through my otherwise depressing work day. If I couldn't answer dumb *** questions to keep me laughing then I'd probably go home and kick my puppy and slap your girl. You don't want that on your conscience do you?
