Can anyone whose in weapons research tell me if we're any closer to 'electromagnetic shield' type technology yet? Wern't the US supposed to be building the Star Wars programme to intercept inbound ICBMS? I mean if you can stick a shield up around your country - then it doesn't matter how many jehads you have declared on you - you can turn around and say yes - ''your grievances are noted'' - and then carry on with the neighbours wife as before. And while I'm about it - what's the truth about the film - The Philadelphia Experiment and the sequel. The films are supposed to be based on a true story aren't they ? Can any spooks out there give me the low down on that particular story - you know the one - make ship radar invisible and end up making ship ACTUALLY invisible. Did they get any further with that technology ? I know the US have a 747 that can shoot a lazer that can knock out ICBMS, but the shield stuff - fact or fiction - or is it just round the corner ?

The Philedelphia Experiment was used as a means of time travel, not Star Trek "shields up!" In the first experiment, according to the movie, many poor souls got splinched into the ship itself and the few that survived kept leaping through time.
As for the Space Station. All Americans are on a need-to-know basis when it comes to our "elected' government. Why do you think we're considered stupid? We don't need to know anything.

Not sure what antomadden is getting at or who he is getting at, but I am of both native american heritage and english. Yeah you can stick a big shield around america but you can always be hit from INSIDE take timothy mc veigh for an example let alone the hundreds of sleeper cells waiting to pounce.
As for your ignorance and sheer stupidity that the usa can turn a blind eye to the middle east and then carry on is astoundingly american , is it not your constant interference when it suits you and your oil demand ie arming Afghanistan and Iraq when it suits you and then years later declaring these same countries enemies when you had not got russia to worry about.
And hope you dont forget you are nothing more than what you declare to be terrorists since only 200 years ago you were mere english convicts who stole the indian land you now live in then fought off england not by going toe to toe with them but by sneak attacks and ambush(worringly the same as any country nowadays who has not got the same fire power as their enemies but strike for freedom how you forget your own history and how you won your freedom!

Middle east is a burner.Oil is the fuel.All wars are for control over oil resources.The Black Gold will not last for ever.There is no effective shield against present nuclear technology.No viable alternative to that is found./feasible.Peace is the best shield.We can only pray to God to give wisdom to world leaders like Bush!
ICBM and Missile tecnology can be purchased in market.Many countries like Pakistan ,China and Russia sell it secretly.

Well i have heard the same and to tell you the truth we wont hear anything else to it happens, as far as the Philadelphia exp. yes it is a true story uncovered with documents in i think 1995, when the pentagon released confidential documents it took part and is slightly believed to have a possicle affect on the roswell incident they are believing that part of the ship or staff were repelled there in the act of. There are reports of the ship being seen in norfolk and then back in philadelphia on the same day just moments apart....
