They are business people. They want your money. If they were genuine, they wouldn't ask for money.

PS I live in Australia and we don't have our own homegrown tv preachers, thank god. But at 3 am in the morning, american preachers come on begging for money.

I don't trust a tv preacher. Jim Baker is the poster-child for reasons why not to trust a tv preacher. Also, I fail to understand why someone like Oral Roberts (for example) will scream and yell that we MUST send him money or God's gonna take him home. Well, shoot, you're a preacher...aren't you supposed to be OKAY with that? What happened to the rhetoric of "If it's my time I'll be happy to go" stuff?

In my opinion, the message can be sent in many ways. Some people can't get to church to hear, and some people can't hear or have mobility to get to church. If you put someone who did sign language on tv would you feel the same way? Regardless if it's tv, radio, or live, I believe that what you get from it is what matters. You're really not supposed to be focused on the pastor anyway. Man is only used as a vessel. You just have to pray that the pastor has an anointed tongue when he/she speaks, and for open ears to hear the Word for what it is from whereever it comes. Most importantly, you should always study the Word for yourself and I am Christian.

I don't necesserally 'like' all of them, sometimes we don't like the people who confront our values and the way we live our lives, but I have learned a lot about how to deal with different issues from some of them.

The one I like and respect the most is Joyce Meyer, she's funny, she tells it like it is, and she tells stories of what she's been through, I've seen her in person too adn met her Husband when he signed the book I bought from their ministry, he's so tall, softly spoken. Joyce calls herself 'the mouth'. I can't stand 'dry' preaching as I find it boring... I think her program is calle d'enjoying everyday life' or something like that...

And also for person who answered we don't have TV preachers in Australia, we do... Hillsong, Oxford Falls City Church, Adelaide Paradise Church and many others broadcast their services on Sunday mornings... that's called TV preaching... they are mainly normal church services recorded and then broadcasted...

Any preacher is just that a preacher
You have to read and divulge the information on your own
You can't just take a preachers word for it and that be it you have to research for yourself

I am a Christian and I don't trust them...I don't trust many at all until I know them enough to really be a good judge of character.

It all depends on how much emphasis they place upon begging for your money in which they all do. If they offer something worthwhile, I will send them a few bucks, sure.

One guy I really like is Jack Van Impe, he is such a HOOT. He is not for everyone, but I get a kick out of watching him.

There are too many bad ones to be able to pick and choose. A local church that doesn't beg for your money is the way to go.

If it gives you a bad feeling turn it off. I feel like their out to make money and the only way to do that is take it out of our pockets.
