Israel isn't a gift from god. It's a gift from the united nations.

believe it or not its not so easy to just uproot your life and move it to a place with a different culture and language.

I have spent over a year studying in Jerusalem and G-d willing I plan to do it some more, but to make the decision to make Aliyah is not an easy one.

first of the Israeli market place is not the best and good jobs are sometimes hard to come by and secondly their are people (I am not one of them) that genuinely fear living in Israel.

if those two conditions change you will see a significant rise in American Jewish immigration

"Every good and perfect gift comes from God." It is rude not to accept a gift. Where you live is not a gift, unless you are refering to where someone is born than your birth place is a gift.

Oy, vey! Having not been there at the time, and privy to all that was going on, including any caveats and restrictions, I can't say. But, then I can't say pork is not a gift from god.
