This is the second DVD that won't go past the start menu. But it will work in my mom's DVD player. One video was Barbie Fairytopia and now the new Veggie Tale movie. Are they burning them different? Anything I need to look for when I purchase the DVD's? Thanks for helping!

It will play most DVD's, just not these two.

DVD Player is region 1 as is the DVD we just bought.

Will your DVD player play any prerecorded DVD?
Sounds like a regional problem. You bought a DVD player for region 2 but DVDs are for region 1, The two are not compatible systems.
Check what region your DVD player is made for, and make sure all your DVDs are for the same region.

Are you using a remote control that isn't compatible with your machine's functions? Could be as simple as reprogramming it, but if using the controls on the player by manually touching them doesn't work then that wouldn't be it.

sometimes particular disc could get stuck on particular player.try to clean the player n the disc .then try again. good luck.
