Don't' change your religion just to please others. If they say something bad about you to hurt you then that's not really setting a good example. They need to respect your views about how you love and worship your god/gods or goddess/goddesses. If you are truly HAPPY with your current religion then stick with it. The family friend needs to treat you with respect like you are doing when you go to church with her. Have you ever asked her to join you for a service for your religion? I'd see her reaction. I don't think she can respect you if she is only there to convert you to her religion. You need to make a choice if your going to stick with your religion or convert. If you want to stay with your current religion I'd sit and talk with her. Thank her for inviting you to church but you like your religion better. She needs to act like an adult and respect your wishes because she can't force you to change.

Listen to that still small voice in your head and heart. Do you know the ONE true God? The God of Abraham, Isiah and Jacob? Are you a Christian? Speak to a pastor from your church. I am assuming you do NOT worship the devil or many gods, if you do you then you have a problem which you need to address quickly. If you both believe in Jesus, there shouldn't be a huge problem. I need more information to answer this with more wisdom.

If you politely let the know that you prefer your current beliefs, will they still be your friends? Will they accept your decision graciously? If not, then I question the value of their friendship. Friendship that is based on you allowing them to control you, is not friendship.
A long time ago when my wife and I were first married and living in Los Angeles we used to joke that it was impossible to meet any "normal" couples in L.A. Finally we met a great couple, began going to a Bible study at their house and hung out with them for a couple of months. But when we made it clear we weren't interested in joining their church - they dropped us like hot potatoes. We still joke about it today. Essentially they pretended to be our friends but had no real interest in us beyond converting us.

Just be sincere and honest on how you feel of it. If they are trying to pressure to join (especially since they KNOW it) do not hesitate/feel bad to say NO. Say to them that they do not fit my beliefs but thank you for considering/thinking of me, then excuse yourself.

I would look into their religon so that you can better understand them. You may even learn to like it and join it. Never be afraid to open new doors. Jesus is always knocking!

Dont convert because of pressure from human beings. Only convert if it is what GOD ALMIGHTY tells you to do.

Tell them that you are happy with your relationship with God, and that you aren't looking to change it. That you appreciate their concern, but you are spiritually fulfilled and don't need to find something different.
