(Leviticus 18:6-17) 6 “‘YOU people must not come near, any man of YOU, to any close fleshly relative of his to lay bare nakedness. I am Jehovah. 7 The nakedness of your father and the nakedness of your mother you must not lay bare. She is your mother. You must not lay bare her nakedness. 8 “‘The nakedness of your father’s wife you must not lay bare. It is your father’s nakedness. 9 “‘As for the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father or the daughter of your mother, whether born in the same household or born outside it, you must not lay bare their nakedness. 10 “‘As for the nakedness of the daughter of your son or the daughter of your daughter, you must not lay bare their nakedness, because they are your nakedness. 11 “‘As for the nakedness of the daughter of your father’s wife, the offspring of your father, she being your sister, you must not lay bare her nakedness. 12 “‘The nakedness of your father’s sister you must not lay bare. She is the blood relation of your father. 13 “‘The nakedness of your mother’s sister you must not lay bare, because she is a blood relation of your mother. 14 “‘The nakedness of your father’s brother you must not lay bare. You must not come near his wife. She is your aunt. 15 “‘The nakedness of your daughter-in-law you must not lay bare. She is your son’s wife. You must not lay her nakedness bare. 16 “‘The nakedness of your brother’s wife you must not lay bare. It is your brother’s nakedness. 17 “‘The nakedness of a woman and her daughter you must not lay bare. The daughter of her son and the daughter of her daughter you must not take in order to lay her nakedness bare. They are cases of blood relationship. It is loose conduct.

If you are talking of the Adam family in the book of Leviticus as others have said. If you are talking of plants and animals, there is no written law. From your words a chick and a dude I assume you are referring to humankind.
I do agree with you that it is a chick and a dude, but what about moral law in respect to right or other than right in the eyes of the law giver? Your point is well taken if you are the one who did give the law and the law does allow you to be above the law, meaning moral law.
I am not exactly sure by your question which position you want to occupy? Thus in my opinion you must be the one to make that choice and likewise accept the results of your act or action. It does appear to me there is much evidence as to the reason for the law to be in place as a moral law, but you may see it differently.
Do have a great day and just think about both sides of what is good or is other than good.

Well, I think the fact that some book written by people in a barbaric age is against it should not be the reason not to hump your sister. The fact is that science says it is bad with the gene pool and the abnormality and all. If you are a religious nut and don't trust science, then just read history. I'm not studied on the subject, but it is well known that inbreeding by royal families produced crazy people with all kinds of mental and physical problems. P.S. The bible is fiction.

Maybe the command is for a different reason regarding a foreshadowing of the Seed of Abraham and the first of the 10 Commandments. Inferring that we are no longer under Law but Grace, have a Pure Heart (a "new heart I will put in you, Ezekiel 36:26-28). Interesting 'parallel' is a recent news story, it could affect the 're-production' cycle, for His Promise that Abraham's descendants would be as many as 'the sands of the sea-shore'..and then as 'the starts of the heavens'. Well, since Lot did his daughters and the Ammonite and Moabite tribes began, and were often the hated enemy of the Jews, things can get pretty messy when that gene pool starts to get shallow.

So you think that if you have sex with your mother, that it is OK?
You think that if you have sex with your mother and she has a child, that it doesn't have a higher risk of genetic defects? Didn't you go to school?
The scriptures in Exodus, Deuteronomy, and many other books in the Bible, prohibit this kind of behavior.
