Dr. has not done much but put me on antibiotics and oxycodones. They've sent me for tests and seen me in the office twice. I've been using that strainer and have found no stone.

I hope you're drinking LOTS of water! Kidney stones are formed when the body is trying to dump an overload of calcium. That's caused by a diet thats rich in animal proteins. Such a diet causes the body to secrete calcium through the kidneys. The calcium binds with a substance called oxylate. Together, they from hard particles, which are stored in the kidneys. The reason this occurs is, because the kidneys "sense" the loss of calcium, and try to store it. Then little pieces break off, and cause trouble when it passes from the kidney to the bladder. Depending on the size of the piece, pain will occur: the larger the piece, the larger the pain. Eat a SMALL amount of aninmal protein. Eat a lot more fruits and veggies. More water. Take calcium supplements. Lose weight. Don't eat peanuts, or dark green leafy veggies, spinach, etc.

I have had kidney stones four times. A little old lady told me to drink the juice of a fresh lemon and olive oil. Vinegar will work, too, but yech. I just squeeze a lemon into orange or tomato juice, add about 1/4 cup olive oil and gulp it down. Then chase it with more straight juice.
How she explained it to me is the acid in the vinegar or juice dissolves the sharp corners of the kidney stone, which are causing the pain.
The olive oil lubricates the duct so the stone can slide through... Doctors laugh at this, but after their specimen test shows positive they don't make any more $ from me! She who laughs last......
