I can't break up with my bf! he keeps saying if i do he will kill himself or do something terrible like that... if he does would it be my fault???

That is very unhealthy and I know it would be really upsetting if he did do something like that but you have to know that it would NOT be your fault at all, he is responsible for his own actions. You cannot and shouldn't have to go through that sort of abuse. You don't have to be with anyone you don't want to. You could talk to a counselor about this because I can imagine it would cause you some stress and might help to talk to someone -- but like I said, it is NOT your fault, your boyfriend (hopefully soon to be ex) needs to get some help and realize that he doesn't have the right to control you like that. Unless your boyfriend is psychotic I don't think he'll go that far. Humans fear death. Most people don't even have the nerve to kill themselves. Just explain to him that you have to have your freedom. You care about him and that you and him will always remain friends. Just tell him it's over. If he does something idiotic then it's not your fault, because you told him the best way you know how to do. Be frank and just say it's over. He'll be hurt at first, but he'll get over it. You can't take the responsibility for every boyfriend you have in your life time. You'd lose it mind wise. Good luck.

They are f--king idiots! I had one pretend to go get his dad's gun while on the phone with me and hung up as he was about to "pull the trigger." I had my mom race me over to his house and he was just sitting around looking like he had gotten through crying, no gun nowhere in sight. That suicidal s--t impresses no one, I mean some people are on the edge. But most men do it just to see how far they can get with you. Once they see you'll believe stuff like that, they know they've got you. Hell, if my husband leaves me today or tomorrow, I'd rejoice more than driving my car off a cliff, it's just not worth it! If you are really worried though, just get a hold of his social security number and go take a life insurance policy out on his azz, if he does something silly, at least he can be buried properly.

ur bf is taking advantage of you and is seeking attention. Tell him that if he really loves you he wouldn't be so crazy as to kill himself. That's just bologna. It totally is not your fault. Never feel like that, he is abusing you emotionally. Confront that to him, if he does not understand, you'll have to let him go even if he tries to do something bad.

Tell him that leaving the relationship is your choice and that killing himself is his choice. He can do it if he wants, but it's his choice and has nothing to do with you. Then leave.

NO, IT'S JUST WORDS.IF HE DOES DO ANYTHING IT WILL ONLY BE ENOUGH TO SCARE YOU,BUT NOT HURT HIMSELF INDEFINITELY.GET OUT AND DON'T LOOK BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAD ONE OF THOSE GUYS SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND HE IS DOING FINE NOW.I'M THE LAST THING ON HIS MIND.REALLY!!!!!!!!!!
