An internet search for "freeware pdf creator" brings up a ton of stuff. Which is the best?

I know Adobe is the best free pdf reader, but I'm looking for a freeware pdf writer.

Which is the best to use? I see a ton... CutePDF, PDF Creator, PDF4Free, GoToPDF, WinPDF, Easy PDF, Acropad PDF... There's a bajillion.

CutePDF which uses GhostScript for conversion has worked great for me. It also comes with companion tools for merging cropping resizing etc. I've used it for months no nags, no charges no problems.

I prefer PDF Creator since:
it has file browse -similar to windows
you can change info such as title, author etc
can be used as network printer


for creating prefer open office - openoffice.org
however you can't edit the pdf, but re-edit the source- rtf or doc file

GhostScript. Most of the others want money sooner or later.
