I have a "small" problem. My home is very small and i dont really have room to do a circle. and i have very close neibors (one of them is my mother) and i dont want anyone to see me. so that kinda counts out doing it out side. Will the Lord and Lady be very upset with me if i only ever do a circle in my mind?

Not at all - visualization and intent are more important than the physical tools, IMHO.
Soonerfan - I know you're not a Wiccan. It has nothing to do with being "ashamed" and everything to do with not wanting to be persecuted and hassled, since there are far too many people who are unable to let others follow their spiritual paths in peace. You'll likely see them on this thread as they find this question and decide to tell the asker how wrong she is for following Wicca.
Ah, there they are. "I Don't Know", Panacea and panthers are excellent examples of this.

I don't think so because where do we begin our circle....our minds. We build the energy inside us, in our minds seeing a circle of energy that protects us. When you cast a circle, it doesn't have to be something grand, place your candles or what ever you work with around you allowing you enough room to move around, then simply cast your circle. The Goddess and God will be with you if the emotion and intent is there. Remember, They are within us and without us always.

I think your intent means more then the size of the circle you cast.
The idea is to use your energy to cast a circle to surround you while you do a ritual/energy work etc to keep the good energy and the negative stuff out.
Just visualize a bright white light forming around you and the space you wish to work within.

Not at all. They love you and adore you.
My alter is in an out of the way corner of the house and I seldom cast a formal circle when working at it. I do call the directions and kind of spin around to each point.
Where your heart is, is what matters. If it works for you, it works for the gods.
Blessed Be

Why don't you want anyone to see you? If you will feel embarassed if people see you then clearly you don't truly believe it. If you think it can bring you salvation and you're not willing to risk something as small as someone seeing you then you need to find something else to do.
Disclaimer:
I personally am not a Wiccan.

symbolism, including casting circles, is for your "inner child", not your lord and lady. in other words, none of it is *necessary* if you understand and can form the intent without symbolism.
do as you will, and that is the whole of the law. love is the law, love under will.

cirlce in your mind is good for meditation i think, but if you are doing anything in the circle that involves your tools or invocations, you may want to cast a circle for "general security"

The Lady? I thought there was only 1 god. and he had a son named Jesus. I mean correct me if i'm wrong here but i'm pretty sure i'm not. maybe by "Lady" you mean the Holy Spirit. Thats probably it. Glad I could help before you emberassed yourself.

I never do when i'm casting unless i'm doing something major;y hugely big and huge. For daily devotions and praiers however, there isn't a need.
