my gf and I have a kinda "Friends" Ross and Rachel relationship. We go out then we split but everytime we find a way to get back together. I don't want a sitcom relationship. remember the last episode, Ross went to rachel said he loved her, but she still left? Later on she called him got off the plane and met him at his place and they stayed together. I would love that but I don't want to relate to a sitcom. I know when I finally move out, go to Seattle, she'll leave on her own as well. But I know I'd tell her I love her, beg her to stay with me. But what scares me is if she decides not to come, i'll never see her again. Which I would rather die. but what if she does come back to me, for good. Should I dwell on the fact is resembles a sitcom or just get over it?

I know it's hard to not know whether or not she will come, but only she can decide that. You said, "We go out then we split up but everytime we find a way to get back together" Why do you split up? Do you get into heated arguements? If so, then you need to step back and look at the things you say when you argue. Do you make "you" statements or "I" statements? For example, if there is a disagreement between you and your girlfriend, you can only say what you think or how you feel. If you say, "You always...," it sounds a lot more threatening (and will only make things worse) than "I think... or I feel..." Hope this helps!

if it reminds you of a sitcom then it does, if this is the gurl you feel you got to be with for the rest of your life then tell her, now if she dont want to be with you, then u stay strong and move on, sooner or later she will figure it out that she has just made the biggest mistake in her life

Umm, i would say get over it!! If you love her and she loves you, and you guys stay together what does it matter what it resembles as long as there is no violence between the two of you, what could be the problem?

I think there are a lot of relationships like that. I think that you should just enjoy the time that you do have with your girlfriend and work on strengthing the relationship.
