So I need a homecoming dress,can anyone help me find one.What should a homecoming dress look like can it be a dress meant for prom?

A homecoming dress os similar to a prom dress it's just a formal dress.Don't go with like organza or chiffon more streamline silky.

Homecoming dresses should be formal but not the princessy dress like prom. Get some ideas from your friends and maybe go shopping together. Usually the stores know and put out the top choices for the season.

you should talk to upperclassmen(women). I know for a fact that homecoming has different degree of formality in different school. I went to two different high schools. I wore a little dark color short dress to the first one. the homecoming in the second school was just almost informal. you don't want to wear a overly formal or overly informal dress to your homecoming, or else you will be the school joke.

usually a homecoming dress is dark colored and short, ad a holiday ball ( don't know what its called at ur school ) dress is light colored and long
