From an older mans point of view knock the crap out of him if he won't respect your wish's... no call for insisting.... You might see your GYN and tell her the problem if your guy is hung too big then there are some things that can be done for you.
Sex supposed to be enjoyable for you if your hurting then it will alter your preception of the act and you will come to hate it.

I had this same problem! U have to tell him, him probably do not think he have a problem but he really does. He might me obsessed with sex.
