I is, therefore I be.
But seriously, I try to take a moment at least everyday to connect with God. I have found that He even has a sense of humor in helping me out. He can make good things come out of what seem like bad events in your life if you just let Him or see it for what it really is. Sometimes I really want to just give Him a huge hug because He's the Big Guy you know.
Peace to you too and all who read this message.

Not yet! This is usually my quiet time. My daughter is going thru a rough time today. Her Friend lost her daughter last night in a car accident so I've been chasing her kids all day. They're usually in bed by now but Mom went to a candle-lite vigil and the kids are watching a movie. Kind of! Two year olds just don't watch much of a movie at this hour. Usually I enjoy an hour or so here on answers before bed so I can unwind and try to reach out to someone who may be in need of a spiritual lift. Or may be sometimes just a good laugh. Prayer time is always helpfull too, just before I check out for the day. Scriptures I need to read more often because they really help with whatever situation is going on around us. Hopefully I'll have more time tomorrow!

I have MY time in the morning and in the evenings right now. I get up earlier than I really need to for work. But it gives me time to just have coffee and watch the news while I wake up. There is no rush. It's a nice way to start the day. In the evenings I will go lay in bed and read for at least a half hour. During that time, it's just me. It's like an unwritten rule that nobody pesters me. It's my time to unwind from the day.

More importantly, how much time a day do we spend doing something for someone else? That is our divine instruction, yet very few heed the command. I believe this to be at the core of our society's destruction.
Peace Be With You Love.

I keep meaning to try this, but let myself get too busy. Maybe my time reading serves some of the purpose of this, as far as the calming goes.
I used to come up with my best ideas on the way to work. Maybe that time in the car commuting let me just be (it was a low traffic road).

Not yet, but I'm going to. The boys are going to bed, and I will have some time to myself. I may meditate for a while, or take a bubble bath. Both make me happy! =0)

I do try. Just that the last month or so has been one heck of a whirlwind. And even though my hubby reminds me to take time for myself, he's the same one that quickly steals it away.. Now this is not going to sound nice, but bare with me, please.. if he doesn't stop doing that, I swear I'm going to take his leg and hide it somewhere! yes, he is an amputee.. I'm not sure I'm teasing here.. but, I just may have to find something to get him to stop it!
Usually, I will craft: quilt, knit, spin or weave.. or sketch. Right now, I'm here, doing this, and...doing some forgotten laundry .
God's blessings..

Absolutely. And I do find that it helps to stop, take some time, and just experience the world around me. Feel the sun, smell the wind, listen to the birds, touch the grass...

Early in the morning I try to get my chapter of Bible reading in. To rest my brain in the afternoon, I do answers. In the evening, I either work a jigsaw puzzle or do more answers after checking my e-mail.
