There are a variety of ways to fall asleep - here's a few to help.
· Sleep medication
I like Unisom sleep gels, these are mild forms of sleeping pills; I have found them helpful in falling asleep. These are definitely not as strong as something like Valium, but they are helpful none the least. You can find them at any Walgreen's or online: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=15898&catid=1192&trx=PLST-0-SEARCH&trxp1=1192&trxp2=15898&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-SEARCH
Start out with one and then gradually go up to 3 per dose.
· Exercise
A common cause of insomnia is a lack of active lifestyle. Just think about it: the body does basically nothing all day, so why should it recharge? Probably you will benefit most from strenuous activity, preferably sprinting/running for at least 3 miles. 1 hour of this high yield exercise *per day* should go a LONG way to cure any insomnia.
· Meditate
Alot of people suggest praying before going to bed - and with good reason. Prayer is a form of meditation. A sense of knowing who you are and being confident with yourself should relieve any anxiety you might be feeling - a common cause of insomnia.
Some more tips: use your bed ONLY for sleep. Only lie in bed when you are tired and nothing else. Try reading a book instead of watching tv or surfing the internet on yahoo answers late night. STAY AWAY FROM CAFFEINE! Even 6+ hours after ingesting a coke, some amount of caffeine is still present in your system. It's also generally a good idea to stay away from soda particularly its high refined sugar content and other substances in it detrimental to your general health.
If you are still having sleep problems after a couple of more weeks after trying some of these methods, see a doctor/specialist to make sure you don't have a condition that prevents you from sleeping well - like sleep apnea.

It depends on your age?? Limit caffene in the evening and a lot of times if you are stressed or have anxiety issues it seems your head won't let your body relax enough to sleep. There are over the counter sleep aids but you should check with a doctor and make sure that is the best option for you. I sometimes take a tylenol pm before bed or have used ambien sleep aid it works good for me...but if you are young I would check a doctor first! Also they say the sent of lavender is good for sleep and relaxation! and it smells good too! Good luck and hopefully sweet dreams

Well, I was once closely hooked on meth whilst I was once 14 so I can realise. Although I did different medications, I was once depressed and the serious eight hour top from meth was once the one factor that was once low-cost and quite simply blanketed up my disappointment. Weed simplest labored as self healing, that is well for curing despair, however I was once simplest considering overlaying it up. Cocaine, oxy and meth are the one addictive medications you're doing. Cut down on every separately, then whilst you suppose you are in a position, move bloodless turkey and simply give up doing it. It will suppose like hell however it is valued at it. If it is an excessive amount of for you then you definitely will have to suppose approximately rehab. Also, smoke extra weed. You'll want it whilst going bloodless turkey, severely. And once you stop the addictive medications, you can detect that weed is the one drug that's valued at doing for the reason of having top. The professionals closely outweigh the cons. And take LSD and different psychedelics if you're considering exploring the human recognition. Ecstasy is ok too when you consider that it is non-addictive.

That happens to me a lot. But with a few help and tips I got to sleep easier:
1. Try not to go on the computer at least a half an hour before you go to bed. Same goes for watching TV, it stimulates you, and makes you stay up.
2. Don't eat sugary foods at least a half an hour before you sleep, for obvious reasons.
3. Read a book before you go to bed, it helps relax you.
4. Exercise around 2 hours before going to bed. It helps you feel sleepy.
5. Stick to a routine, go to bed and get up around the same time each day.
Sweet dreams!

Try working out during the day, doing meditation, and yoga. Also, if you lay in bed and can't fall a sleep in 30 min, get up and read a book. Whatever you do don't watch TV in bed or before going to bed.

Do things to wind down before going to bed. Take a relaxing bath or shower, read a book, if you have someone to give you a back rub or massage. Listen to a audio book after you shut the lights out and listen and try to relax your whole body. A book on tape puts me right to sleep.

What I do is lay in bed while listening to either the radio or a CD with a discman and headphones. For some reason, it really relaxes your body and mind so that you are more ready to sleep. Give that a try and let me know how it works.

Try reducing you sugar and caffeine intake after noon. Eat something high in carbohydrates, like fruit or whole grains an hour or so before bed. There are a number of relaxing herbs to try as well such as chamomile, catnip, passion flower, hops, etc. Try the tea, or capsules, either one. It usually helps to read something relaxing when you go to bed too.

I use chamomile tea and meditation.
Lay flat on your back and close your eyes. Clench your muscles slowly, one section at a time. Start with your feet, then calves, then thighs, etc up to your face. Stay clenched up completely for a few seconds then start back at your toes, this time relaxing. It helps you get your full body completely relaxed.
The other half of the meditation is to take all of your thoughts going around and visualize them. Imagine what thoughts themselves look like. I imagine they look like small pages floating around. Then imagine a box and put all of your thoughts into it for tomorrow.
It takes a while to train yourself to meditate, and it doesn't always work for everyone, but it's worth a shot.

I used to and I still sometimes do have trouble getting to sleep. Thesae days its because I have a lot of things in my going on in my head. Do you eat before you go to bed or late at night it usually makes you stay up awhile or so I've heard. Try asking yourself a question and focus on that question and try to forget about other thoughts soon it will tire you and you will fall asleep.
