oily moveable hair or hard gel covered hair, which is better?

from an outside view

to get my hair in a style i can either not wash with shampoo or cond, which makes it oily but means i can style it 24/7 or wash it, and cake it in gel.

i prefer the oily hair look, but dont wanna push ppl away cos im dirty or something. Gel just eehhhhhhh, hard unmoving shiny hair, i ahte it, but i need one or other.

which is better, ie do ppl hate oily greasy hair?

Hard gel hair will make it look like you have a helmet made of hair. Oily hair, (not too oily) looks natural (and sexier), and moves and flows alot better too.

I'd prefer the gel hair just because it looks like you made the effort to look good. Try a gel that doesn't make your hair hard. I mean a scrunching spray would be good for you such as Design Line by Regis ($10) in any salon. Try different products. I am sure you will find one that you like.

put a few drops of oil after washing your hairs, when it wet, it will serve your purpose well
