My husband and I did a road trip starting in Lake Isabella California. We went to Death Valley, then to Las Vegas, then to the Grand Canyon. Finally, we went to Sedona for a week, then to Payson, and flew home to Alaska from Phoenix.
May I recommend the Grand Canyon. My husband and I have been there twice together since meeting, and we love it. We took the Club Car train from Williams, AZ, spent the night in the Park, and then the train back the next day. We walked and talked and enjoyed fabulous scenery. It is great with someone you love. We enjoyed the Club car because it is spacious and they serve cool drinks. In the Park, it is very quiet at night, and you can watch the sunset over the canyon, visit a nice restaurant, etc. SO GREAT. We cant wait to do it again. DO NOT GO COACH on the train!!! DO NOT GO FIRST CLASS!!! CLUB is the best!!!!

Victoria British Columbia.
Go over to Olympic National Park in western Washington for some great scenery and spend time in Victoria for a beautiful Victorian town that was once a British colony. Go over to Seattle for a great big city experience, or up to Vancouver. Head up to British Columbia's coast for some more great scenery.
The coastline of Olympic National Park is pristine, although the water can be cold, and the rainforests of the Olympics or British Columbia's coasts are spectacular.
Victoria is a beautiful town.

I went to Cancun last April. It was romantic and so much fun!! There are great deals down there. Lots of resorts offer specials. Book your activities through your resort. We went on a lobster and steak evening cruise, atv riding, snorkeling, horse back riding, swam with the dolphins, saw ancient ruins, rode jet skis, and lounged by the pool and on the beaches. It was paradise and for a lot less money than going other places. Good luck and have fun!! WE did!!!

Try the Cook Islands. We went to Rarotonga and Aitutaki. They are inbetween Tahiti and New Zealand. They are just as nice as Tahiti only less expensive. If you have a Costco membership, thier travel agency books trips. Plus it's relatively unknown so there are not a ton of people there yet. They are filming the next survivor there so get there before it gets to popular.

Greece, Italy, France (my cousin and her husband went to France for their honeymoon and LOVED it but they didn't go to Paris they went to the smaller cities and LOVED it you should try going to smaller cities so you can get more of a cultural experience and have more time with each other!)

Just got back last week from Cancun stayed at a place called the Riu Cancun!! It was a blast...the place is amazing and the staff is amazing...we are already planning on going back!!
