A lot of what you say is true. The new government of Iraq would more than likely collapse if the US were to leave at this point in time. Eventually, it will stand on it's own, but let's give it time to mature.
The best thing that could happen is if the new government gets so strong, that they tell the US to go home. That is when we will know, they are ready to do it without us.
Until then, we may needs those boots on the ground, in the event these damned Syrian or Iranians step out of line. Look at all the transportation costs we will save, if that happens.

my opinion for wat its worth is, if the usa went to iraq as part of the war on terror it wants to stop it from being a breeding groung for terrorists, an unstable govt. and a civil war is the perfect breeding ground, so thats why they will say they are there, as bad as sadam was and is, an evil dictator is the only way to control a land made up of different cultural extreme like that in iraq, the usa have plyed right in2 the terrorists hand, im still puzzled how the administration could be so stupid, unless its all about the oil and the petro dollar

If we leave before the new government, military, and police can keep (key word) the insurgents under control we will be back in no time. Finish what you start. We are not through. If we leave it like it is right now we send a clear signal that we don't have the strength or will to see things through. The radical Muslims will take over and you will have a stronger terror group than ever before and they will be back here to inflict more terrorist attacks on us. Get this "they want us dead" !

Yes we should leave. However we may have a responsibility for cleaning up the big mess our leaders caused, but those in power may have another motive for staying in Iraq . Also the motive for going into Iraq may not be the one that was told to the American public.

Unless we leave Iraq stable, it will create more turmoil in the region. We knew that our fire power would win the war. In the future we should have an idea on how we are going to win the peace.

We should have gone home a long time ago, or not have ever gone there at all. I don't care what side wins, and I don't think there will be a winner. They're gonna fight forever, that's what they do. Why doesn't anyone come here and save us from Bush?

Sorry this is America not France if you want to let your enemies know you are a chicken sh-t. Why not just send over a bunch of airline tickets to them and then you could blame Bush when we get hit. Move to France and leave our country to Americans!
