It is true that condoms are only 95% effective but that is including the fact that many people do not use them correctly. When used correctly they are almost 100% effective. Read the instructions.

No, condoms are not 100% effective. It even says that on the package. I have a child because of a condom leak. My husband and I didn't want another child so soon after the first. we only had sex when I wasn't ovulating and he wore a condom everytime. I think the condom (in the unopened package) was about 2 years old. I suggest using relatively new condoms if you really want to prevent pregnancy (check the 'expiration" date on the box).

Yeah, and listen, if using a condom is 95% effective, that means, if 10 million people use condoms tonight, TONIGHT 500,000 of them are going to get pregnant.
Or, look at it like this - if you use condoms and have sex 100 times, you'll only have 5 kids.

Condoms aren't 100% effective, but usually you're fine. My husband and I have often believed that if he can't orgasm while having sex, the sex just isn't really worth it. We've never used withdrawl for anything. But the times we were using other forms of bc (spermicide, pill, and/or condom) I did not get pregnant.

Yes, if it breaks it is possible. If it is put on right and the right size then it generally protects. It only takes one sperm to produce a baby there are millions of sperm even before ejaculation. Condoms are not 100%

They are not 100% effective, so it is possible, but not likely.
