Well, I don't know where you have met these people, but here, nobody really thinks much about Saudi Arabia.
Of course, most of the people who destroyed the World Trade Center and rammed the Pentagon were Saudi. But we know that they were extremists, members of al Qaida.
For me personally, Saudi Arabia does not come to mind very often. It is quiet there, very few bombings, very few news stories. Of course, there is the insurgency with Sunni Muslims connected to al Qaida that targets foreigners and the monarchy. So perhaps some people you meet are afraid that they might get killed by these people.

Homie, it's becaue we're hardcore as ****, we dont mess around like gangsters and use ak-47s, we use RPGs. If you watch the news, you'll see why they stereotype like that, but Dubai, Saudi Arabia it's the best city in the world and proud to be Arabian. So what you do is live your life the best way you can and say **** everybody else.

didn't most of the 9/11 terrorists come from there and isn't the islamic fundamentalist group that sponsors Osama binLaden from there and aren't there many terrorist training camps there and don't they hang people just for being gay there and don't they beat their wives and daughters there for almost any infraction of islamic law? Can you think of ANY reason to like Saudi Arabia?

Cuz everyone thinks the terrorists are from there...
