Our souls came from God For sure.
Although God made the body of man(Adam and Eve) in his own image from the Earth.There is nothing to say that he didn't use the most workable and adaptable of his previous creations as a model for the physical body of mankind.
After all we were the last things that God created and placed in a Garden for protection and to See how we would work out as viable creations.
Darwin's theory of evolution is still viable as it deals with how things can adapt after being created not before then.
How long it took God to create the first animals then man is unknown . as God also created time and can control the passing of it.a year is like unto a day and a day is like unto a year.
We have created our own methods of measuring what we call time.what time is is still another question.

1. Man came from apes, not monkeys. A lemur is a type of monkey, a chimp is a type of ape, there is a difference

I don't know about you, but I was created in God's image. Ain't no monkey descendant, humans are humans and animals are animals, we were all created by God but no in the same level. we as human can rationalize, think, create, make decisions, have jobs, worship a supreme being etc, etc, etc, no other created being but humans have the ability to do all this.

Even scientist know nowadays that the monkey myth is over....scientist believe that we all came from one man and one woman....check out ID or Intelligent Design...Darwin's monkey theory is over....

even though evolution does not claim we came from monekys, your spelling and apparent IQ seem to give a strong case you came from something much lower.
