Oh, My God! Do I dare to type here exactly what my E.S.P. just gave me in a glowing sentence that went off inside my skull? It said: "Go out and shoot yourself a pheasant!" Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. at 9:40 P.M., 3 August 2006

It all depends if you have some things in your pantry, like extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc. This is what I would eat: I would have a big juicy rump steak with mixed green salad (that one that is already clean, ready to eat) Make a dressing with 3 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, mix all together and add to the salad. Some Italian bread with butter. And for dessert have a piece of fruit. I would have an navel orange or mandarin.

When I take my wife out for a meal I normally have fillet steak with all the trimmings and a couple of large glasses of the finest wine. She normally has sausages and mash and a small glass of cheap wine. I think that this is fair because I get a bigger pension than she does!!

Pie. That's what we're having anyway. Steak, onions and carrots with ale gravy, in short crust pastry. Mashed potato with mustard and cheese in it, and extra gravy. Cabbage and broccoli. And more gravy. With chocolate cake and custard for pudding. All home-made. Yay!
