I t is very easy to paint the room Black , One good choice would be to use a flat black paint . The flat paint I recently used came from Home Depot.and it didnt even take a primer and only 2 coats to actually cover it . Some Ideas would be think Running Sneaker think of all the colors that are generally on good sneakers . You can actually find alot of solid bedspreads and if you sew the world is only limited by your imagination find some one in the family that can maybe an Aunt, or Grandma. Buy a solid Bedspread in one of the accent colors . The cut out shapes or designs you could even Monogram it with your initials , perhaps you have a sports team or a Music gruop, Musical Instrument you play , any Hobby cut out fabrics in shapes or designs then add them to the bedspread and window treatments .You may want to accessorize using brushed aluminum or other brushed silver objects which will give you the greys you are looking for .the lime green and Orange are great accents . You could paint the walls Black then go back and add angled stripes using masking tape and a laser level to acheive really straight lines and cool effects.. They have some glow in the dark paints you can also add to the mix or even get some road sign paint is what we call it and some reflectors use some old or new Bicycle Rims for some cool wall decorations,,, Sorry I dont know when to stop I 'm an Interior Designer and this room is quite do able under 300 and you would love it I f I only knew more about some of your interest.....blakes2daughter6e@yahoo.com

Black on a wall is very expensive to do because dark colours often takes 3 or 4 coats to cover completely. Then when you go to re-paint, you have to put primer and then 2 or 3 more coats to get rid of it. (That will also be very expensive and time-consuming.) Probably you should consider using black melamine paint on pieces of furniture for the accent and lime green on 3 walls and teal on the wall where your bed will be. Then orange it up with bedding and a bulletin board. Desk lamps come in some interesting colours, too.
Paint colour is the easy part. Maybe you should get the bedding or rug or curtains and match the paint to it.
Have had gray walls with red rug, bedspread and curtains with a back roller blind, black desk and chair and white shelves. The gray had a blue-ish thinge. There are a gazillion different shades of gray from almost a mauve to almost white with everything in between.

I would check the following for good deals on bedding: www.Domestications.com, Overstock.com, Target, Kohl's. They all also have inexpensive curtains. Or you could go with a roman shade. You could paint most of your walls a light gray with maybe one wall of your accent color (I would choose the teal). Or you could paint all of the walls gray and paint some designs on the wall with black, orange, lime green and teal. Maybe find the bedding and window treatments first. If you find bedding with a design you like. Paint something like the design on the walls. Or just make some large overlapping geometric shapes on the wall - triangles, circles, rectangles, etc. Draw them with a pencil and straight edge and then fill in with paint.
I bought wrought iron candle sconces on E-bay for around $14 each. If you like that kind of thing, you could look for something to hang on your wall. I bought a cute inexpensive mirror on Overstock.com.
Check out design ideas on www.HGTV.com - look under the TV show Design on a Dime. They do a whole room including furniture for $1000 and give you tips for doing things inexpensively. You might be able to find some inspiration on there.
I think you can definitely do something great for $300.

If you want black use it in fabrics, like a black bedspread with 1 or more of your bright colours striped across it like a racing stripe. They can be curved or straight, up and down or catercorner, up to you. For the walls how about a silvery gray. You can even paint them with a technique that gives them a metallic shimmer when the light hits them. Do the furniture black with green, orange and/or teal tops. Then accessorize with all the colours. Just go crazy and have fun with it. Since you aren't putting dark colour on the walls it will be easy to change later.

well for a bed spared, I would do teal, And then lime green stripes($35).
Do one wall black ($5) and the ceiling maybe gray ($5). and a orange rug ($12) so that's ($57) for the bedroom. Now for the bath room: A teal and lime green Polk-a-dot shower curtain ($25) orange towels($3) Herbal soap($4) the total is 89$

Do the walls teal cuz that color won't be too dark and also won't be too bright like the other colors would.
Do the trim black or light gray.
Get some funky bedding that has black and white and gray in them or zebra stripes or something like that, and then have the SHEETS and pillow cases be orange or green.
Have accent pillows of green, orange and teal and black.
Paint your furniture gray with black hardware.
Have light gray drapes (same color as trim would be cool) with black, teal, green, orange and gray laces or thin ropes as the ties for the curtains.
Have big orange shaggy rug.
Hang lots of pictures and decorations and whatever on the walls (and mirrors, too) of orange, green, gray and black, and randomly put them in odd shaped groups together, but scattered throughout.
Have a light brown night stand with a cool lava lamp or funky color lamp and orange alarm clock, or a green one.
Have one of those big, round chairs/seats (looks like a bowl) of a light brown wood legs and green cushion with a blanket/throw of the same or similar colors as your bedding and have accent pillows of orange, teal and gray.
Hang beads over your closet door (take them off if you want to) and you can make them yourself or buy some at Hot Topic or Spencer's or wherever. You can either go for browns and shells and whatever or find one with reflective beads that will shine lots of differenct colors, or go for solid green.
Don't have a yellow bulb for the light, use a white one (or clear).
Get a border to go along the bottom of the wall of a similar design/color/style of your bedding and throw/blanket. (black and white or whatever).
The cheapest places to go for stuff like this is:
Walmart, then Target.
Home Depot has a place where they keep mixmatched paints that the colors didn't turn out right. They sell these really cheap and you can check to see if they have something as close to a teal as possible, or whatever other color.
You can get fabric at Jo Anne's and have someone you know sew sheets, bedding and pillows for you if you have to. You can get cheap pillows at a second-hand store and have covers sewn for them.
At a second-hand store or yard sales you can find all sorts of cool cheap stuff to put on your walls.
You can use a shaggy big orange bathroom floor rug and just get it at Walmart or Target and you'll hardly notice the difference and it's way cheaper.
Good luck!! I hope this works for you!

There are things that seem like a great idea before you do them, but once they're done..well.
I would avoid grays and blacks. They will really bring down the room and black is impossible to paint over. It justs keeps "bleeding" through the new colouring greying it out.
Warm colours like ochre or rust can be bought as cheaply as black. It goes one in one coat (cheaper) brings a feeling of comfort into the room and so of disappears behind and furnishings you put in front of it.
Ultimately don't think just about the room your 14 yr self will like. What will your 15, 16 and 17 yr old self want?

I would strongly suggest not to use gray/blacks,. as these so-called colours are mostly devoid of colour. If you want a Icelandic green will give you balance and harmony, orange will give you far too much energy and you will have problems sleeping. The colours you have chosen are quite good for your room. If you want a good nights sleep try blue, blue/green colours for your bed linen as blue is calming and suggest a good nights sleep, blue/green or turquoise is good, is also calming and is also a healing colour. The best way to do it cheaply is to keep your walls, perhaps beige and add the colour by way of bed linen, accessories e.g. lamps, mats etc.... Good luck
