Why are medical costs always rocket high everywhere?

Its never just one thing. This is a broad question which needs several answers. Yes minorities take advantage but i dont think they suck it dry because then there would be no help for the sick. Because hospitals owe money thru lawsuits and the cost of the equipment they have. Millions of dollars!How mcuh do you think a ctscanner costs? Doctors in todays society are high class. And they want high class paychecks to cover their asses.What happened to Doctors who made housecalls and walked into your house with a trench coat and a black bag. He certainly wasnt brought in a horse and carriage and men playing the trumpets? Buereaucracy cost the masses time and money which result into debt. They have to keep the money rolling in. Hmm i wonder where they get more money to pay everyone? Thats right....us the people. If im sick why cant i pay a doctor for a plain check up at a reasonable price instead of getting shafted for 600 bucks. Screw you Health care america!

because of the influx on illegal immigrants & uninsured Americans using ERS as doctor's offices and then not paying the bills thus far the medical community has to sky rocket to cover the cost. BLAME THE UNINSURED. Trust me southern arizona's and southern California has had to clsoe a few Border hospitals. It is an epidemic

Because government has taken an excessive role in medicine - ever since the advent of Medicare and Medicaid medicine has been socialized and without private industry competing for patient's dollars, medical costs are very high.

Tools used in the medical field are not cheap! Even though they can write it off as a business expense sometimes, things like perscription drugs cost a lot of money to make so they have to sell it as an even higher rate. Also the doctors had to pay a very, very, VERY large amount of money to become what they are today so they have to charge a lot of money to pay things like collage loans! haha

ya... neat isnt it ? my medicines are 225.00 for one . And 175.00 for another one every three months. AFTER the 80% from my insurance. Then I owe constantly to my doctor. I'm trying to get caught up on paying bills to doctors offices. I have seizures. And 2 jobs. Congress doing a great job arent they ? LOL ..

I work in healtcare. It's because reimbursement from private insurances, Medicare, and Medicaid is so low for billed services. In order to make any kind of profit, they must charge outrageous amounts to make any head way.

One because of lawsuits and the reason for medicine is because we can. You really should think about doing alternative medicine you can save a lot of money. India is pretty cheap for surigcal practices.

Because their malpractice insurance premiums per month are probably more than you and i make in a year because of all the morons that are crawling out of the woodwork to sue them for every flimsy excuse they can think of.

It's mainly due to all the doctors and hospitals being sued by frivolous lawsuits, and lawsuits in which the person suing gets way more than they should.

alot of it is because of people who don't pay, or us medical facilities unnecessarily (like the ER) it skyrockets the cost for the rest of the people.
