God is more of a Father figure than a Mother figure. And God only has a son read the bible God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, no mother and no daughter.

Go online and look up the Nag Hammadi Library. Find “The Origins of the World”. These are the Gnostic text (like in the Da Vinci Code). It explains about the goddess that gave birth to a stupid and imperfect thing...commonly know as the “creator god”. Stuff most Christians don’t like

I think that prior to christianity, there were more female dominated religions (Goddess images and of course female birth images, etc.) in the world. I think the men were frankly fed up and they crafted a male dominated religion - and one SO male dominated that the women are cast in all the worst roles and have the least freedom and power. At least that is how it looks from here.

My personal version of God has no sex or physical form even. It is a pure energy consciousness and we are all a part of it.

Peace!

Only a jackass would ask such a stupid question. If you believe in God at all, you know that woman is his creation, and he would love them. He didn't send his daughter because he sent his son. How would that make him a misogynist? What are you possibly basing that on? That's so without sense or logic I'm embarrassed to even answer this.

The bible was originally written in a patriarchal society, and like most every ancient and modern story, was greatly influenced by the culture around it at the time. Course, whether God had any influence or not is a completely different question.

No, not god. Those who wield power wrote history, those who were stronger made the choices. Religion as an institution was decided on by men.

Because at the time most religions were developed and written down, most all cultures were mysoginist or male-centric with women as second-class members.
